Who we are
Our journey began in 2013 when we opened Spider Tattoo Studio. In 2019, we evolved into New Spider Ink—a transformation fueled by the creative partnership of two tattoo artists: Darek “Spider,” who spent 35 years perfecting his craft in Dublin, and Matt “Scorpio,” with over 15 years of experience who made his mark in Poland.
Now, together with our passionate team, we’re proud to offer Dublin not only top-quality tattoos but also beautifully intricate designs.

Questions and answers
What should I avoid before and after getting a tattoo?
Before your tattoo, avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours, blood thinners, getting sunburned, and applying skin products to the area.
After getting inked, stay away from swimming or soaking the tattoo, exposing it to direct sunlight, wearing tight clothing over it, and never pick scabs or scratch the area.
Where is the most painful area to get a tattoo?
The most painful areas for tattoos are typically:
- ribs,
- spine,
- inner bicep,
- knees, ankles, chest
- armpits, and face
Remember that pain tolerance varies greatly from person to person, so what’s unbearable for some might be manageable for others.
How to look after your new tattoo?
Keep the bandage on for the time your artist recommends, then gently wash with unscented soap and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
Apply a thin layer of the recommended aftercare product, repeating the washing process 2-3 times daily. Avoid direct sunlight and don’t soak your tattoo until it’s fully healed.
Feel free to browse our tattoo aftercare for the first 14-days.
I don’t know what type of tattoo I want, can you help me?
Think about meaningful symbols, quotes, or images that represent something important in your life. Look through portfolios of different tattoo styles to see what appeals to you.
Our artists can discuss your ideas during a consultation and suggest designs that match your personality and placement preferences.
Feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help you out.
How to make an old tattoo look good?
Old tattoos can be refreshed with a touch-up session to darken faded lines and brighten colors. For more dramatic changes, consider adding elements around it to create a new design or speaking with an artist about a tattoo cover-up.
Regular moisturising and sun protection can also help maintain tattoo appearance.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
The surface of your skin will heal within 2-3 weeks, but complete healing beneath the surface takes about 4-6 months.
During the first few weeks, you’ll notice flaking, itching, and scabbing—this is normal. Your tattoo may look fully healed on the surface after a month, but the deeper skin layers continue healing.
